Imagineering Lab

The Imagineering Lab, Casita’s STEM makerspace, focuses on Next Generation Science Standards and Computer Science. Students design low tech and high tech prototypes by utilizing recyclable materials, 3D printing, soldering, and a variety of adopted modeling materials such as Legos, LittleBits, and Spark Kid kits for engineering projects. They are also immersed in the process of design thinking where the young makers discover, understand, ideate, experiment, and evolve prototypes to meet the needs of the real-life applicable design challenges. This flexible learning environment is created to foster collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.
